It's Hotting UP!

Hi folks!  As the warm summer weather has settled in, we've been busy making all kinds of great changes at Dart Rock.  Firstly, our School of Rock outdoor sessions have been oversubscribed - seems even you die hard plastic pullers are keen to enjoy this wonderful British summer weather!

Secondly, we are discussing our participation in the BMC leading ladder in the upcoming round as there seems to be a shortage of walls in the region who are part of this exciting scheme.  We need your feedback on high quality, high grade routes to make the most of this terrific BMC programme.

We are busy putting together a team of expert and trainee routesetters to add to our quality routesetting team.  Andy Long will thankfully continue to provide our comp and boulder routes, but look out for local stars like Dave Henderson in the near future.

Next, we've lined up mid-week kids club sessions for all your little budding rock jocks.  Holiday kids clubs start the week commencing 26th July, and are every Monday and Wednesday from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.  Unlike our weekend kids clubs, these sessions must be prebooked, and the cost is £10.00 per child, all safety equipment included.  Since we obtained our AALA license, we are also taking our kids clubs outdoors, just like our grown-ups, so watch this space for dates and info. 

Our NICAS scheme has been growing all the time, with lots of our Little Lizards and Chameleons already successfully completed Level 1, and some are through Level 2.

And don't forget, we now have Langage Ice Cream - mmmmmm the definition of summer!  Stop in when you've finished your outdoor climbing and cool off with an ice cream, or tuck into a lovely bit of cake.
